We Are Wildings, a charming new staycation experience nestled on a family-run farm in Lincolnshire, reflects three generations of farming heritage embracing a bold new path—diversification into rural retreats. At the heart of their brand launch is a creative partnership with Studio Form, an award-winning design studio based in Scotland, who were recently crowned Scottish Design Agency of the Year.
Where Lincolnshire Roots Meet Inspired Design
Crafting a truly distinct identity
Steering clear of the usual countryside clichés, Studio Form set out to develop a visual identity and brand language deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of Lincolnshire folklore and heritage. The aim? To foster an immersive, educational experience, one that feels authentic, local, and imbued with narrative depth.
Folklore comes to life with illustration
To bring this bold vision to vivid expression, Studio Form commissioned Morvern Graham, a celebrated Scottish storyteller and visual artist. Working from her windswept studio by the North Sea, Morvern blends myth and memory through printmaking and art, weaving in aural storytelling traditions that spark childlike wonder Morvern Graham. Her bespoke illustrations for We Are Wildings honour local legends and the natural beauty of Lincolnshire, giving the brand a uniquely enchanting identity that feels both rooted and whimsical.
From brand to story: Designing the digital & print ecosystem
Studio Form’s work extended beyond illustration—they shaped a cohesive brand identity across touch points: from logo and print materials to a compellingly designed website and marketing suite. Each element reflects the depth of place and narrative that defines the Wildings’ vision, ensuring consistency across both digital and physical experiences.
Celebrating Craft with Photography
To complete the transformation, We Are Wildings enlisted photographer Holly Farrier, known for her ability to capture environments with an artisanal, lived-in warmth. Her sensitive photographic storytelling emphasises the fine details of the farm’s renovations and décor—textures, craftsmanship, light, and materiality—underscoring the handcrafted ethos at the core of this project.
Why this collaboration stands out
-
Multigenerational Legacy Meets Modern Experience
We Are Wildings represents a new chapter for a longstanding farming family, not by abandoning roots, but by honouring them through hospitality and storytelling. -
Folklore over Generic Rural Tropes
Studio Form’s decision to ground the brand in Lincolnshire folklore rather than generic bucolic imagery elevates the identity beyond mere aesthetics, it becomes something memorable, meaningful, and educational. -
Artistry in Every Layer
From Morvern Graham’s myth-inspired artwork to Holly Farrier’s tactile photography, every visual component communicates care, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to place. -
An Authentic Fusion of Creative Disciplines
This is more than a design refresh. It’s a creative ecosystem where brand strategy, illustration, web design, and photography converge to tell a singular story, of land, legacy, and transformation.
We Are Wildings is more than a staycation brand, it’s a narrative experience. Anchored in three generations of farming tradition and elevated by creative collaboration, the brand shows how thoughtful design, folklore, and photography can transform a place into an evocative destination. With Studio Form’s vision, Morvern Graham’s enchanting illustrations, and Holly Farrier’s luminous lens, We Are Wildings opens its doors not just to visitors, but to a sense of place reimagined.
