Activities
There are countless walks and adventures to be had during your time at We Are Wildings. We strongly encourage you and your canine companions to go and explore all the local delights that are on our doorstep. Some of our personal favourites can be found scribbled down in our super handy WAW guest guide.
Bookings
Our regular change-over days are Mondays and Fridays. Guests can check in from 3.00pm and must be checked out by 10.30am on their day of departure.
A little treat – you’ll be welcomed with a thoughtfully curated gift hamper, often including seasonal offerings fresh from our working farm. Fresh Linen, clean towels and bath robes will be provided. Complimentary botanical bathroom products from ‘100 Acres’ will also be available for use throughout your stay. Each property comes with its own wood-fired hot tub and fire pit – where unlimited firewood will be generously supplied to help you keep these ablaze.
Yes, we’ve partnered with some highly talented local Gourmet Gods to further enhance your WAW experience. Private Chefs, Mixologists and even Sommeliers can organised. We will happily do our best to arrange such ‘special events’ for you, as long as plenty of advance notice is given before hand.
We welcome families and little adventurers. Our barns/cabin are designed with plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the WAW estate is perfect for children to explore. Whether it’s running around in the fresh air, spotting wildlife or toasting marshmallows by the fire, there’s lots for them to enjoy.
Typically no, as we ask that all guests book at least 6 weeks in advance of their stay with us. Saying this, we will always try our best to help you out and will occasionally consider ‘last minute’ bookings. If you have any enquiries, please send an email to hello@wearewildings.com
Most bookings have a three night minimum stay.
If you book more than 6 weeks in advance, your reservation will be confirmed by email when you have paid a 30% deposit. Typically balances must be paid no less than 6 weeks before your arrival date.
We warmly welcome dogs and encourage them to join your adventure. With wide-open spaces to explore and cozy corners to curl up in, our barns are the perfect retreat for you and your four-legged friends. We hope they enjoy their stay just as much as you do! The WAW entrance can be found at the bottom of Drinsey Nook Lane, just off the A57, approximately 1 mile outside Thorney village. Our post code is NG23 7DN but as we’re out in the sticks you may prefer using What3Words – extra.cherubs.multiples.

Car is king, as once you’re with us you’ll have the option of exploring the wider area. However, we can also be reached by train at either Newark North Gate (NNG) or Lincoln (LCN) stations. It takes approximately 10 mins by taxi to get to us from either of these locations. And if you’re feeling extra bougie, on special request we’re even able to accommodate Helicopter landings.
Our Mammoth Barn and Cart Shed have excellent accessibility as they are both single floor properties with generous spaces throughout. Whereas The Granary (two story property) and The Whisp (small cabin) are more restrictive. If you have any further questions please email us directly at hello@wearewildings.com
